The Shantou Port-opening Culture Exhibition Hall, a three-storeyed building with a long history, is located at No. 1 Yongping Road, Shantou. This European-styled hall, built in 1907, was repaired in April, 2010 and was first opened to the public in December in the same year. In the hall, you can see paintings by famous artists, precious cultural artworks and musical instruments of Chaozhou music. People can visit the hall for free on Saturdays, but the number of visitors is limited to 400 each day. As a famous place of interest for tourism in Shantou, the Exhibition Hall is the best place for people to know about the history and development of Shantou City since its port-opening in 1860.

 On New Year’s Eve an old couple prepared a rich dinner and waited eagerly for their son, who finally didn’t come home because of his work, which made the couple very disappointed and sad. （33 words）
 Having read the story, I was deeply moved by the old couple. How they longed to get together with their son for just a dinner! Honestly speaking, I also feel angry with their son. If I were him, I would cancel the meeting and come back home as soon as possible. Nothing is more important than a reunion with my parents.
 (支持)As far as I am concerned, it is necessary that visiting parents be written into law. Firstly, our parents work hard to bring us up, asking for nothing in return. With legal support, when parents get old, they can get the care they deserve from their children. Secondly, the law can be a reminder of their duty for those who are too busy to visit their parents, and those unwilling to take care of their parents will be punished.
 (反對)However, I don’t think it necessary to write visiting parents into law. It is not fair to punish those who are not able to visit their parents often because of their busy work or lack of money. What’s more, for those who do follow the law, if they are unkind to and don’t care about their parents, the law won’t make any difference. Laws can’t solve all our problems in real life.
